The Senior Programmer Analyst, under general supervision, participates in a variety of technical functions for the Information Technology Department including programming, evaluation, and testing. This position performs job functions pertaining to the analysis and design of new and existing software, works independently or on a project team in program development and implementation and creates and maintains required documentation. The Senior Programmer Analyst resolves customer problems with software applications and provides appropriate remediation in order to ensure a consistently high level of customer service.
BA/BS - Bachelors Degree or equivalent required.
Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
2 to 5 years related experience required.
IT experience in the healthcare field desired.
Experience in support of FACETS healthcare application software preferred.
Technical proficiency in relevant languages and development tools including SQL
Experience in MS SQL or Sybase database environment preferred.
Experience with Crystal Reports and Visual Studio
Proficient with current Microsoft Office products required.
Thorough understanding of structured programming principles, system analysis techniques, system design, industry standard testing principles, system implementation, and follow-up with customers as required.
