The PMCM Division of ARCADIS is searching for a Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for construction management oversight of major renovations and additions to a correctional facility. Additional duties will include:

  • Liaison with the owner and coordination on site with client's facilities group.
  • Pre-construction planning including development of bid packaging strategy, phasing options, contractors' use of site, master schedule logic development, review of preliminary project cost estimates, and constructability review.
  • Construction phase responsibilities include planning and chairing pre-construction, pre-installation, and weekly project meetings with Contractor, Owner and Architect.
  • Set up project office and staff construction management team.
  • Analyze and recommend objective solutions to project issues.
  • This position requires the ability to evaluate contract changes for merit and the ability to negotiate amicable resolution with contractors.
  • Review and evaluate weekly, monthly, and baseline schedules.

This is the specialty of our Construction Claims Consultants; they provide dispute prevention, dispute mitigation and dispute resolution to help clients through each phase of their project.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum years of experience: 20 years of construction management experience.
  • Education required: BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related field.
  • Skills required: Experience as a Construction Manager on 2 correctional facility projects with construction values of $100M+ within the last 15 years. Experience as a Construction Manager on major public works projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registrations/Certifications preferred: LEED AP, CCM
  • Skills preferred: Experience working on major public works projects in LA or Orange County with municipalities, counties, or other agencies. Experience on Design-Build projects.
  • This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does manage others.
