OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Project Managers are the critical interface between data collection and Added Value's client facing teams and Clients. A Project Manager takes overall responsibility for the efficient field delivery of each stage of a research project. They are responsible for communication with Client Service and other Added Value departments. The role involves ownership of project budgets, schedules and ensuring timely delivery in accordance with the agreed project specifications and schedule. A Project Manager actively seeks and communicates ways to improve project performance. When problems occur, the Project Manager must consider and recommend solutions to Client Service and internal departments.
In addition to the project responsibilities described above, Project Managers are also expected to collaborate with Client Service teams at a high level by providing consultancy on questionnaire design, fielding expertise, and sampling methodologies. Building and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with Client Service is also vital in being a successful PM.
Estimation - Sources cost & timing estimates while providing advice & consultancy for best recruiting approach/study design. Provides accurate estimates within specified agreed upon deadlines.
Specification checking - Review sold project details against estimated costs and discusses variances with client service teams in order to resolve discrepancies
Job commissioning - Commissions external vendors/resources as well as alerting/scheduling work with internal teams
Project planning - Coordinating and setting up necessary project meetings including kick off meetings, field site briefings and internal project review/questionnaire discussion meetings. Prepare field materials as needed pre-field start.
Questionnaire/Script review/input - Provide feedback based on one's knowledge for questionnaire context as far as set up and design for field ability this includes overseeing and organizing translation process when needed
Maintaining Quality Standards - Following all internal and external protocols for quality data collection standards
Job scheduling - setting up and overseeing project schedule from commissioning to data delivery, adjusting continually as need for duration of project
Liaising with Client Service throughout project to provide proactive consultancy on project issues in order to proactively promote resolution, provide needed reports and overall financial updates * Liaising with Data Collection & other Added Value departments to ensure as seamless data collection process
Liaising with external suppliers in order to receive necessary project updates, collaborate on current project issues and discuss solutions for advancing successful project completion
Overall financial management of projects - This includes constant review of job financials, re-forecasting project costs as necessary, communicating/resolving variances with client service teams as needed
Takes ownership of large, more complex projects based on senior level experience
Provide support and assistance to all Added Value colleagues
Work fluidly with Added Value client facing teams in order to promote an environment of the Project Management team being an extension of AV CS
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Experience - 5 to 7 years minimum in marketing research operations field.
Necessary degree and major - Minimum of a BA or BS
Essential language capability & qualifications - Fluent in English, Excellent communication and writing skills
Personalities - Ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced, deadline intensive environment
Other requirements - Strong Math skills and in Windows 2007 programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
