DESCRIPTION

The Project Manager oversees various system projects of a highly complex nature to ensure benefit delivery to the customer. The Project Manager is accountable for all aspects of projects, and provides a single point of contact for those projects. It is the Project Manager's responsibility to take projects from original concept through completion. While he/she is primarily responsible for assembling the project team, and the logistics therein, he/she must be familiar with the system scope and project goals, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. He/she shall also have the capability to reflect and act on the lessons learned from each project in order to continuously improve the project management process.

DUTIES

** Accountable for on-time and on-budget project execution in IT, meeting or exceeding the IT project delivery performance goal each year** Serves as the first point of contact/liaises between project stakeholders and project team to ensure project success** Collaborates with business analyst and project architect to assess and negotiate project scope against project goals** Manages project procurement (products and services required by third parties) and consults IT resources as needed** Manages project time and cost expectations with project stakeholders** Collaborates with business analyst and project architect to assess project risks and ensure mitigation strategies are in place ** Identifies project resource requirements and timelines and negotiates with IT services on resource availability and allocation** Leads team members to complete assigned tasks within specified timelines and ensure all team members feel engaged, productive and effective** Documents project change requests and assesses change impact** Creates, executes, monitors and revises project plan to meet changing project requirements and resources ** Plans, prepares for and facilitates all project status meetings** Manages resolution of project issues including proper escalation to project stakeholders** Conducts project Lessons Learned meetings and uses results to continuously improve project and development processes** Promotes project management process and the institutionalization of project management standards and best practices through mentoring and lead-by-example** Ensures successful transition of applications or infrastructure changes to Customer and Production Support teams** Ensures project goals are met in post-production

QUALIFICATIONS
