Job Description

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE OF POSITION

The Senior Project Manager will provide management and coordination for all phases of Starwood Vacation Ownership Management projects and HOA Reserve Replacement projects to ensure compliance with design specifications, brand standards, budget and quality requirements.

  • Work in conjunction with the Regional Director, Facilities Management, Project Management Coordinator, Regional Facilities Manager, General Manger and property Engineering Mangers developing HOA reserve replacement scope and schedule; providing recommendations to Regional Director, Facilities Management, for the acceleration and/or delaying of reserve replacement items.
  • Development of reserve replacement projects and special projects to include: developing scope, preparing RFP, bids and final AIA documents.
  • Manage projects to include: scope, RFP, bid documents, contracts, installation schedules, inspections, invoicing and release of liens.
  • Ensure compliance with annual reserve replacement timeline to include all interior and exterior renovations and construction services related to roofs, parking lots and recreation facilities.
  • Provide on-site assistance for and coordinate efforts to SVO, vendors and/or construction professionals.
  • Provide value engineering where possible and establish operating procedures for contractors to minimize impact of project on resort guests and operations.
  • Provide assistance with and/or recommendations for final acceptance for SVO Management, Inc., on all new units brought online including final punch and signoff on each unit/building.
Requirements

The Project Manger will be professional, and will possess a history of achievement in project management and proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and timelines.

The specific areas of achievement and experience in operations and project management include:

1) An individual who is proficient in Windows-based computer programs, self-driven to be successful, possessing personal qualities of independence, discipline, initiative, creativity and high ethical integrity.

2) While being entrepreneurial in style and approach, have the ability to function in a well-organized, fast-paced environment.

3) Strong people skills with the ability and track record to manage and maintain project documentation and possess exceptional follow-up skills.

4) A thorough knowledge of the various disciplines related to the construction/renovation fields and a critical eye for finish details.

5) Resourceful and confident relating to problem-solving and evaluating required approach.
