EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full time

OFFICE LOCATION: Seattle, WA

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Senior Project Manager will manage mission critical Service Delivery, Process Improvement, IT Infrastructure Improvement, and, Professional Service Delivery types of projects within the TCS Project Management Office to ensure that activities are carried out in accordance with established specifications, timelines, and budgets.

The candidate must be capable of:
Producing PMI Standards based project documentation,

Gathering cross functional work effort and duration estimates to implement requirements for new products/features in a fast paced and demanding environment,

Using MSProject to develop an effort driven project schedule, update and track status against baseline, and,

Reporting project status to Manager and Director level stakeholders on a scheduled basis.

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Manage projects following the TCS project lifecycle methodology using PMI Best Practices, SDLC methodologies, and Microsoft Project to perform project scheduling, budgeting, status updates, variance and risk analysis.

Create detailed project plans to define and manage project scope, schedules, milestones, budget, and risks.

Manage or perform business systems analysis as necessary to create detailed project plans.

Lead estimating efforts for new products and features.

Secure resource commitments from required teams and report on resource loads with quantified metrics.

Lead project meetings, gather status, identify risks, issues, action items, and update plans and other project documentation.

Perform contingency planning, risk mitigation, and define implementation activities to activate contingency and mitigation plans.

Manage change.

Prepare and present status reports.

Facilitate improvement to project management processes and deliverables

Other job duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management fundamentals through direct project management experience.

SDLC

Windows XP, Microsoft Office Applications, especially MS Project

Strong leadership abilities.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work through matrix management of diverse teams to meet aggressive delivery schedules

Demonstrated organizational and planning skills.

Ability to prioritize and escalate where appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Four year college degree.

At least five (5) years of direct project management experience in a technology related field.

Experience with new business rollouts and/or delivery of professional services a plus.

Customer facing project management experience a plus.

CAPM or PMP certification required (PMP certification in progress acceptable).

Experience in 911, VoIP, or cellular call routing highly preferred but not required.

ISO and/or TL 9000 experience desired.

Six Sigma experience desired.

Agile or Scrum experience desired.

Must function well in a fast-paced, fast-growing, project based environment.
