A Bachelor’s Degree in the natural sciences and three years of experience in that field; OR an Associate’s Degree in the natural sciences and five years of experience in that field; OR seven years of experience in the natural sciences. A Master’s Degree may substitute for one year of the required experience.
Experience in quality assurance, development of standard operating procedures, and interaction with local, state and/or federal regulatory agencies. Proficient computer skills, specifically in MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access.
The incumbent will lead the Manufactured Foods Regulatory Program Standards (MFRPS) Development Team in the implementation and continuous improvement of a quality management system. Duties include assisting the Division's Training Officer in coordinating training relative to manufactured foods; maintaining audit records for field food inspector audits, and conducting and maintaining audits of field inspection reports; supervising the purchasing of Division equipment and supplies; and directly supervising the MFRPS Secretary. Other related duties as assigned.
