The Corporate Accessory department is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer.
The primary responsibility of this role is for post-launch quality, regulatory compliance and facilitation of problem and stop sales resolution. The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer provides guidance to other team members and teams by leveraging specialized quality assurance knowledge and process expertise in a diverse set of Toyota processes.
Reporting to the Accessory Quality and Regulatory Manager, the person in this role will support the Corporate Accessory department's objective by bringing advanced analytics and critical thinking skills (e.g., analytical methodologies/frameworks, best/better approach, innovation, key assumptions, performance evaluations, quality assessments, alternative design and scenarios, economic/cost models, predictive/forecasting models, etc.) to problem solving in order to craft potential solutions. The Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer also leverages process expertise to frame complex, diverse problems and issues, enabling resolution, and identifying root cause while approving and implementing process improvements.
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer quickly distinguishes problems that can be resolved, independently makes decisions regarding when to take action and specific action to be taken in order to maintain and improve product quality.
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will specialize in one of the following areas:
Research, Data Collection, Analysis, Critical Thinking & Problem Resolution
Voice of the Customer (VOC) and Regulatory Compliance - Initial Quality Survey (IQS) data analysis and regulatory research and compliance
Understand the overall goals / strategy of Toyota as it relates to area of expertise; develop product and solutions that support these goals
Practices and applies principles of value engineering
Develops product improvements and increase in value by improving functionality and/or reducing cost
Develops, monitors, analyzes, and evaluates the accessory product to ensure that standards of quality and customer needs are met
Compute cost and time estimates for complex enhancements and new projects/products
Define, frame, and ensure high quality of projects/products
Seek out multiple creative solutions to complex issues
Identify options, define advantages and disadvantages, and analyze and synthesize data to arrive at a recommended solution
Use advanced analytics and critical thinking to frame issues and develop solutions in order to make decisions and take action
Leverage product quality assurance process expertise to perform cost / benefit and trade-off analysis for issues that are broad in scope while understanding the business impact of various alternative solutions
Leverage product quality assurance process expertise to define issues and critically evaluate product requirements
