The Quality Manager directs and manages the Safe Quality Food Assurance Program in accordance with Company policy and government regulations to promote the manufacture of high quality products.
The Quality Manager provides leadership by facilitating the factory’s adherence to the product quality standards and specifications set forth by Innovation-Research and Development, to ensure the consumer receives the highest quality product each and every time.
1. Provides effective leadership, and manages all activities of the Food Quality Assurance Department.
2. Assures the development, implementation, and verification effectiveness of quality systems affecting all aspects of manufacturing and wrapping operations.
3. Responsible for reviewing and analyzing data, in order to recognize trends and opportunities for improvement/corrective action, by using process capability and other statistical or quality engineering tools.
4. Drives continuous improvement activities, which result in cost savings, higher efficiencies, and high quality product performance.
5. Responsible for establishing programs, training, and implementing, with all appropriate personnel, GMP's, HACCP and other quality systems identified under the accountabilities of Quality Assurance.
6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining an Assessment Program, which includes Internal and External Assessment functions, in alignment with Corporate Quality Assurance. Drives Supplier quality performance in providing Wrigley with safe, high quality ingredients and materials.
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in a technical area, including engineering, chemistry or food science, is required.
- 5-10 years of professional experience in a leadership role, with extensive applications in quality and manufacturing.

- People development and influential skills. Technically sound in quality systems, and be abreast of developments in the Quality Assurance field.
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of quality systems and a solid and current technical knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Experience with systems such as: ISO 22000, ISO 9001, GFSI standards, lean manufacturing tools and 6 Sigma Certification are assets.
- Skilled in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
