This position reports into the CTO?s organization for development of the industry?s most bleeding edge products. You will work on projects that ensure that Silver Spring Networks remains technological leaps ahead of the competition.
You will be responsible for all phases of the design including brainstorming product requirements based on system level requirements to schematic design, PCB layout, hardware debug and verification. In this position you will be working on designing RF, analog and digital circuits for Silver Spring Networks next generation wireless systems. As part of the design team you will work with DVT and EVT groups to ensure the testing and verification of the final product as well as FCC certification.
The design work will include RF system and circuit design such as RF front end (PA, LNA, filtering, radios etc), as well as analog and digital baseband and other high speed digital circuits.
Experience with RF, baseband analog circuit design and layout.
Experience with high speed digital circuit design and layout.
Solid understanding and hands-on experience with RF instrumentation and tools such as spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
Experience with RF simulation tools.
Knowledge of wireless communication theory, modulation, and systems.
Experience with power supply design
Experience with mixed signal design and signal integrity is a plus
Experience in designing for high volume manufacturing.
Experience with regulatory requirement (FCC, ETSI etc) and testing.
