This Senior Recruiter position is an addition to our recruiting team and is due to increased hiring volume and complexity of recruitment strategies. The Senior Recruiter acts as a consultant and partner to the business in the development of their talent pipeline. This role works in partnership with an HR Generalist team and business management to develop strategies for recruitment and selection that are aligned with business plans.
Consult with hiring managers to develop and implement recruitment strategies aligned with key business priorities and firm-wide talent strategy. This role will focus primarily on corporate positions including technology. Works with business to ensure an in-depth understanding of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the role being recruited and building a strong, targeted pipeline of talent.
Primary business partner for efforts related to talent acquisition. Lead the effort to source, pre-screen, and interview/evaluate internal and external candidates. Sourcing consists of extensive candidate development, networking, use of social media sites and tools to identify qualified diverse talent for roles with complex or niche skill sets. Consult with hiring manager and key decision makers on selection decisions. Recommend candidates for employment, influence and assist with preparing offer package and extend/negotiate offers.
Identify opportunities and work to improve the quality and efficiency of the recruitment process and practices. Participate in recruiting related and additional HR projects/initiatives.
Act as primary liaison with retained and contingency search firms, universities, diversity organizations, and professional networks.
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of four years of recruiting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
Experience in the financial services industry, as well as recruitment of technical professionals, a plus.
Expert knowledge of (and experience in) talent acquisition techniques and best practices including all aspects of professional and entry level recruitment. Experience with retained and contingency search.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of required processes and laws for EEO compliance.

Travel required: primarily between offices in Maryland
Strong computer skills, web savvy, and experience with candidate databases/talent acquisition systems (preferably Taleo)
College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience.
