The Hartz Mountain Corporation is the leading consumer packaged goods company in pet supplies. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results oriented leader to fill our Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
The Sr. Regulatory Affairs Specialist is responsible for the Pesticide registrations in the United States and Canada. This individual will work with R&D to ensure that the proper studies are generated and that the submissions to the appropriate government agencies are completed and submitted. The Sr. Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance for the Pesticide products.
Working closely with the cross-functional category teams at Hartz, the Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist will:
Responsible for regulatory compliance of pesticides in the US (state and federal agencies) and Canada.
Prepare submissions to EPA and PMRA (Notifications, Minor Formulation Amendments, New Product and Active Ingredient Registrations).
Responsible for nationwide registrations and renewal of pesticide products.
Monitor Pesticide database for competitive assessments.
Maintain database for Adverse Effects Reporting, preparation of submissions in accordance with federal, state and international requirements.
Investigate and resolve compliance issues, questions, or complaints received from internal departments, external customers and government agencies.
Assist in the development, review and approval of advertising and product label copy.
Monitor legislative changes, new guidance documents, and EPA review activities related to products and communicate internally.
Hazard Communication including the development and implementation of Material Safety Data Sheets.
Possess and continually upgrade a strong working knowledge of the FIFRA regulations.

Professional Experience and Education
B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, an applied science or engineering field. 5 – 7 years of regulatory affairs work experience in the pesticide consumer products Industry.
