Our client in the Norristown,PA area is looking for a Senior Report Analyst. It is a great direct hire opportunity available.
The Senior Report Analyst manages the implementation of the business reporting applications and manages all aspects of projects assigned from preparing project schedules and estimates through final implementation. This position oversees modifications to existing applications that will effectively accomplish desired objectives and provides technical support and project direction to the company's entities as needed. The Senior Report Analyst also coordinates work assignments given in order to meet deadlines and ensure continued progress toward assignment completion and shares experience and expertise with other members of team.
Essential Job Duties:
Regularly meets with users, vendors, and IS staff to develop/modify report specifications
Designs solutions for reporting applications and prepares the appropriate documentation.
Designs report specifications for the company's business needs and oversee validation of data sources.
Develops education material and provides training to the staff for reporting applications
Leads direction for implementation of new enhancements on
reporting applications Supervises development of test data, system testing and documentation for all phases of the application development life cycle
Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets
Adheres to appropriate Project Management standards
Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management
Researches and resolves Customer Support Center Tickets including major application upgrades
Adheres to Service Level and Change Management Policies
Provides on-call support as scheduled
Establishes and maintains regular communications with user community
Effectively trains analysts in performance of their duties as required
Provides technical support and guidance to other team members as required
Maintains Service Excellence principles
Prepares and promptly submits all routine and special reports
Interviews applicants for vacant positions as needed using appropriate interview techniques
Contributes to performance evaluation of junior staff members as needed
Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems
Performs other tasks as required by management
Bachelor's Degree required Master's Degree preferred.
Five or more years of progressively more responsible Information Systems experience.
Working knowledge of SQL, Dashboard development, DTS packages, Crystal Repot Writing, Microsoft Project, database management, project management, report validation methods and data warehouses.
Preferred knowledge of Horizon Business Insight (HBI).
Working knowledge of system application implementation, enhancement and support methods and practices.
Comprehensive working knowledge of computer systems analysis and programming techniques and procedures, including: consulting with users to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing, coding, debugging, or modification of computer systems or programs based on and related to user design specifications.
Working knowledge of IS standards and quality methods and metrics.
Working knowledge of project management methods.
General familiarity of user business practices, concepts and terminology sufficient to support the applications.
Language proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal fluency.
