Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Senior Research Analyst at the Center for the Army Profession and Ethic (CAPE), which is the Army Force Modernization Proponent for the Army Profession and Ethic. This is a full time contract position to be performed in West Point, NY. The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for planning and execution of research studies focused on leadership and organizational culture/climate.
Conducting reviews of published literature and other written materials.
Developing theoretically-based conceptual frameworks to guide research.
Designing psychometrically valid survey instruments and other data collection instruments.
Coordinating and scheduling data collection events with research participants.
Coordinating and completing Internal Review Board (IRB) process.
Collaborating with research statistician in planning and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of large, longitudinal data sets derived from multiple sources.
Writing research technical reports and preparing presentations of research findings for practitioner audiences.
Overseeing the day-to-day planning, execution and coordination of several research projects.
Assisting with research proposal and grant writing.
Either a Ph.D. in I/O psychology or relevant discipline or a Master's degree with prior experience as a research analyst with subject matter knowledge in leadership and organizational culture/climate research is required. Proficiency with social/behavioral science research methodologies and statistics is required including knowledge of survey research design and methods; knowledge of descriptive and nonparametric statistics; experience with quantitative analysis using SPSS or SAS; knowledge of web survey software and administration.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint), intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel; experience managing databases; experience with validating and checking accuracy of data elements; survey experience. Candidate is expected to play a leadership role in developing relationships, collaborating with CAPE Research partners, developing and implementing quality control requirements, delivering technical presentations of research findings. Originality, subject matter expertise, sound research skills, strong oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail are key to success.
