With limited guidance, lead the collaborative development of a systemwide research agenda for educator preparation and teacher quality across 21 USG institutions and other state agency partners, as appropriate;
Evaluate, make recommendations, and lead implementation of the redesign or modification of data systems to ensure the data structure, collection processes, and reporting serve the research needs of the USO;
Design and conduct methodologically sound data analyses, reporting on the results, and communicating with data consumers to assist internal management decision making and as appropriate for multiple audiences including Regents, legislators, and the media;
Identify research opportunities using data collected by the System office or data available to the public such as IPEDS and census data;
Conduct quantitative and qualitative studies related to System initiatives and strategic objectives;
Direct the work, as appropriate, of research personnel in timely and successful completion of research and data projects.
Participate in State-level meetings regarding assessment, evaluation, and research of educators and/or pre-service teachers;
Perform complex data analysis and reporting with various tools (i.e., Access, Cognos, SQL, SPSS);
Create efficient, repeatable processes to effectively respond to routine and/or frequent requests for data, information, and analyses;
Provide detailed and organized documentation of all assigned projects;
Respond to internal and external requests for data, analysis, and information

- Experience with GIS mapping;
- Experience with Ellucian (Banner);
- Experience with survey administration tools; and/or
- Present studies at professional conference and publish findings.
