The Senior Research Manager will be assigned to project teams and work with Analysts and Client Managers to coordinate all resources involved in quantitative and qualitative projects to ensure research projects meet the objectives of the client and are completed within set financial and time constraints. The Senior Research Manager independently performs the role with general coaching and mentoring.
Manage all resources involved in quantitative and qualitative projects to ensure research project is completed within financial and time constraints.
Recommend research methodologies that address client needs and adhere to budget expectations.
Acquire the needed resources, plan and administer necessary activities, and monitor project development to achieve a high level of performance while identifying opportunities for improving quality, cycle times, operational performance and ultimately client satisfaction.
Understands the quantitative research process and project management responsibilities for each methodology.
Monitor the data collection process. Review, analyze, and interpret the quantitative field data and project statistics.
Create accurate and realistic budgets that use resources efficiently, track and adjust budgets as needed, contribute to budget planning, and continuously look for ways to reduce costs.
Plan for, assign, and manage internal and external resources and tools efficiently and effectively throughout the project process.
Gain a thorough understanding of Market Strategies’ research processes.
Determine the correct approach to manage the project and secure appropriate resources.
Must have a Bachelor degree in a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in project management for complex projects/business processes, preferably market research projects.
Academic and/or practical experience with a wide array of survey or market research methodologies preferred
Experience with multiple research methodologies and able to recommend the best approach given the client/research needs, markets, modes and budget.
Successful completion of coursework in graduate-level statistics and survey methodology helpful.
Relevant industry experience preferred.
Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Exposure to data analysis packages (e.g. SPSS, SAS) preferred.
Project management software experience a plus
Must be able to handle multiple project assignments simultaneously
Must have excellent time management skills.
Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated and exhibit high ethical standards.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with project teams inside the company and clients outside.
Able to work effectively within a team-oriented, highly collaborative environment.
Must be able to deal with ambiguity and make independent decisions about proposal content and project work
