The Grenfell Lab in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology has a Research Specialist in the area of mathematical modeling of infectious disease dynamics. The project will involve modeling of vaccination outcomes to explore optimal strategies in the context of current programmatic limitations. This position will assist in the research projects of outcome models to support the study and analysis of the dynamics of infectious disease through space and time.
The job tasks will include generation of computer code to simulate demographic and epidemiological outcomes to include review and test of such computer code, development of statistical software for analysis of epidemiological data; creating maps and figures associated with analyses.

This position will provide extensive contribution towards the preparation of manuscripts emergent from this work. The position may lead graduate/undergraduate students in subsidiary projects.

Essential Qualifications
The interested candidate will have a Masters' degree in Infectious Disease Epidemiology / Public Health, a quantitative background and a minimum of 2 years experience in epidemiology, statistics, and familiarity with the R programming environment.
