The Senior Research Technologist in the Pathology Department operates as an advanced-level Research Technologist by assisting the principal investigator with the data collection and analysis for research projects. Properly conducts specific projects, maintains efficient laboratory operations and may assist in training other laboratory personnel. Performs other duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department. (MJP)
A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field and three (3) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required
A Master's degree in an appropriate scientific field and two (2) years (post-degree) of relevant and productive work experience is required
A Ph.D. in an appropriate scientific field with no additional experience is required.
Preferred Experience: Molecular biology experience, including theory, instrumentation, methodology; clinical laboratory experience; microbiology and biosafety (bacteriology, mycology, or virology); database construction and management; clinical chart review; scientific writing and presentation skills.
