The Senior Revenue Accounting Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the company's review process for worldwide revenue-generating contracts and underlying financial systems to ensure compliance with GAAP and the company's revenue recognition policy. The Senior Revenue Accounting Manager has a critical and visible role in analyzing revenue recognition contract information and taking part in designing system reporting capabilities for the company in a timely and accurate manner.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing and maintaining the company’s revenue recognition policy

Review revenue related contracts for compliance with revenue recognition guidelines, SAB 104 and ASU 2009-13, including identification of contractual elements, and determination of appropriate accounting treatment

Serve as an internal technical accounting resource during the agreement negotiation process by working with the sales and legal departments and analyzing the impact of customer terms and conditions, communicating the revenue impact of such terms, and offering alternative structures, as available

Implement revenue recognition reporting and process improvements based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives

Responsible for recording, reconciling and monitoring of revenue accounts in accordance with revenue recognition policy and preparation of management reporting

Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Actively participate in month, quarter and year-end close activities and assist with annual audits

Perform quarterly VSOE/TPE/ESP study, analyzing data and impact on revenue recognition and sales commissions

Work closely with Legal and Sales Operations to review revisions to standard customer contracts for proper revenue recognition

Research and prepare technical accounting memos on revenue-related, non-standard customer contracts

Ensure financial systems are appropriate for tasks performed and are developed, tested and implemented appropriately

Assist with Company's initiative for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance by maintaining required documentation and coordinating testing of revenue cycle

Responsible for revenue related requests from external auditors

Required:
6–10 years professional experience, including at least 3 years of experience in revenue recognition with company subject to ASU 2009-13

Big 4 CPA with at least 3 years experience in public accounting

B.S. / B.A. – Business Administration or equivalent

Advanced Excel skills

Expertise with VSOE/TPE/ESP analyses

Experience reading & interpreting contracts

Excellent teamwork. Will be required to effectively communicate cross-functionally

Understand how data produced impacts internal & external reporting

Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the “big picture”

Organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

Position will have very high exposure within the company. Must be very hands on but also have the experience to be involved with senior management on a daily basis and work in a fast paced environment.
