The Senior Sales Engineer is responsible for orchestrating the communication and presentation of Lyris’ enterprise digital marketing solutions to new direct sales prospects.
The Senior Sales Engineer interacts with customers to execute all technical aspects of the sales strategy by developing appropriate solutions and building technical relationships. The Sales Engineer resolves technical issues arising during the sales engagement, helps clients define specifications and requirements, develops solutions, and provides technology presentations to both technical and management-level audiences, invoking confidence in company’s solution, while removing all technical objections in the sales cycle.

Understand the customer need and establish company's product as the best solution that addresses that need

Present company’s technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with cloud computing infrastructure.

Support the sales team through direct client interaction evoking confidence in our products and platform and removing all technical objections throughout the sales cycle

Be confident in presenting and articulating the business value of Lyris’ digital marketing solutions to managers and executives of all levels

Collect feedback from the field, synthesize and present to Product Management and Engineering

Attend customer meetings in person and via the phone to advise customers on technical aspects of Lyris products including fit to customers' needs

Deliver product and technical related responses on RFPs/RFIs

Manage multiple customer engagements concurrently

3-5 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in a fast-paced work environment.

3+ years of SaaS product experience

3-5 years of Email Service Provider Experience

Comprehensive knowledge of the enterprise SaaS industry, competitive landscape, and marketplace

Proven track record of supporting field sales professionals on enterprise accounts

Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems

Effectively develop relationships and communicate with high-level customer technical staff

Comfortable with managing large sets of data

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

BS or MS in Computer Science
