Group Overview

DeviceWorks is Cerner's organization specializing in the expertise of medical device connectivity and interoperability. Within the DeviceWorks organization the focus is on device connectivity architecture and strategies for delivering and enabling medical devices to be infused with appropriate knowledge of the care process.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the following key sales activities: identifying whitespace opportunities and prospecting of non-Cerner clients, managing territory (including pipeline maintenance and territory analysis), initiating and maintaining relationships with potential and/or existing clients (CMO, CNO, IT, CFO, and CEO), excellent negotiation andclosing skills, ability to deliver a financial ROI justification, knowledge of the competition and ability to differentiate the Cerner iBus platform and CareAware solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required

Excellent written and verbal communication skill

5+years experience selling integrated healthcare solutions and/or medical device sales

Healthcare industry knowledge

Experience selling in a Clinical environment

Strong relationship building skills

Ability to manage multiple projects and opportunities simultaneously

Proficient with Microsoft applications

Strong business acumen

Understanding of complex sales and marketing processes and approach

Self-motivated and ability to multi-task

Ability to travel 80%

Able to work overtime and irregular hours as needed

Must live in or be willing to relocate to Kansas City or surrounding area

Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of Clinical Workflow for both High Acuity and Low Acuity settings

Demonstrated ability to develop new clients and markets

Knowledge of Cerner CareAware solutions
