The Editorial Operations organization within Thomson Reuters is responsible for designing and delivering core technology platforms that make it possible for Thomson Reuters to deliver data to our customers via mobile, online, and print platforms.
The key area of focus for this position is serving as a Software/Systems Engineer on a multi-year project to deliver a editorial platform utilizing BPM technologies using the Oracle 11g BPMS and SOA Suite platforms. Key related technologies likely to be utilized include Java, JEE, XML, Web Services, Oracle database, BPMN, BPEL and SOA techniques among others. This role will be part of a development and engineering team, working closely with technologists from the many internal partners within Thomson Reuters. Other key responsibilities will include ensuring the implemented platform adheres to architectural and design standards, focus on automation and repeatability for platform build out and building deep Oracle product knowledge.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and problem solving skills. They must also possess effective oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. A history of meeting aggressive deadlines in uncertain environments and maintaining strong customer relationships are key selection criteria.

1-3 years of software development experience
1-3 years of Java/JEE/J2EE design and development experience
2 years of web based development experience
1 years of web services experience, including SOAP, REST, XML, WSDL
BA/BS in computer science, software engineering or related field
Preferred or Desired Qualifications:
Experience with implementation, installation and deployment of Oracle BPMS 10g, Oracle BPMS 11g or similar BPMS vendor package solutions
Experience with application and middleware technologies, including WebSphere, WebLogic, JMS/MQ
Experience with packaged software implementations
Masters in computer science, software engineering or related field
BA/BS in Computer Science / Management Information Systems or equivalent
