This is an exciting opportunity to join the cutting edge and award winning engineering team at Fluid. As a Senior Software Engineer you will be responsible for the successful execution and delivery of development projects for a variety of top name brands in online retail.
Responsibilities:
Work with project team members to ensure high quality and on time delivery of development projects.
Define and document technical project plans.
Provide technical oversight for development projects.
Ensure the use of industry and/or Fluid’s best practices.
Lead and mentor engineers.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
5+ years of experience developing high-performance and scalable websites
Strong working knowledge of OO analysis, design, and development
Intermediate to advanced skills with JavaScript
Experience with HTML, CSS for creating progressively enhanced websites
Intermediate release management and deployment skills using a DVCS (Git preferred)
Bachelor degree in CS or equivalent experience
Desired Experience: Expertise working with e-commerce platforms: Demandware, ATG, Magento, Arvato, Fry, GSI, Elastic Path, and/or Volusion
Intermediate to advanced skills with OO PHP
Familiarity with XML, JSON and REST-based APIs
Experience with other OO languages – Java, ActionScript, etc.
Working knowledge of MySQL, Apache, Linux
Knowledge of visual and interaction design concepts and related creative processes
