Want to use your computer vision applications development experience to build the most widely broadcast technology ever? We’re growing and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer who will be a leader on a small matrix team. Your responsibilities will include all aspects of software development from design to coding and testing. You’ll be involved in defining the work as well – not all the questions come with answers provided – so comfort operating in an environment of ambiguity is a must.

EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE:
5-6 years’ proven experience with computer vision based product/application development. If you were loading your resume with buzzwords (which you’re not, of course), it would have words on it like SIFT, SURF, KLT, and so on.

Proven experience with practical real world implementation of computer vision and image processing based algorithms and technology.

Experience with optimized algorithms for real-time performance.

Experience with object oriented design and C++ programming skills. You’re not a “rock star” (rock stars don’t code), but you *can* rock raw and smart pointers (appropriately), templates, and a wide variety of data structures. You know your way around your OS’s libraries, especially for threads and network communications. Oh, you probably know (and love) a couple other languages as well – great programmers often do.

Advanced Math background in linear algebra and calculus (for example 3D graphics, projection, reconstruction, filtering, estimators, etc.).

Leadership skills; prior experience in a lead role for a small team.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and willingness to Scrum.

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.

DESIRED, but NOT required:
  • Experience with object tracking and classification.
  • Experience with CUDA and/or other GPGPU programming.
  • Experience with Intel IPP, TBB or MKL libraries.
  • Experience with cameras and 3D projection math.
  • Experience with OpenCV.
  • Experience with OpenGL, Qt, or other UI toolkits.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp new concepts.
  • Game, film, TV graphics or broadcast video experience.
  • Knowledge and passion for sports, a plus!

It should be obvious that we’re looking for “T-shaped” people – you’ll have breadth and interest in a broad variety of technical domains, but you must be able to show off true depth in computer vision . Oh, yeah – you need to be willing to have serious fun while working on seriously hard problems.
