The Department of Alcoholic and Beverage Control's Information Technology Services Division is growing and is seeking highly motivated experienced professionals.

Moreover, the General Services IT Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. The General Services IT Team is responsible for new development and maintenance of over 30 complex systems related to Finance, Human Resources, Procurements, Property Management and Taxation. The Teams Strategic goals are to focus on delivering new ecommerce applications to the citizens of the Commonwealth.

Responsibilities

Your role will be very challenging and high paced.

Your expectations will be to Design, Develop and Maintain complex applications, Create and update documentation for applications to include reference, user documentation, solutions delivery, requirements, logic, flow charts and design. Coaching of users in application operations. Provide problem analysis and resolution. Mentoring others

Minimum Qualifications

Skilled in developing in an tiered application/web-based object oriented environment using J2EE, EJB, JSP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML and XML, Spring, Hibernate, Struts,JDBC, EJC, Multithreading, Reflection, JQuery, AJAX, Web Services, Java Servlets, PL/SQL and Oracle, Extensive working experience in problem analysis and resolution determination of complex problems, extensive knowledge of enterprise resource functions such as Financial Accounting, Asset Management, Purchasing, and Human Resources, Skilled in architectural design and implementation of EJB framework, Understanding of network environment, Ability to work independently or with a team to develop applications in a multi-tier environment. Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and interpreting user statements, Develop and write analytical and technical documents, Aptitude to understand and document interdependences between systems for integrations. Established experience in providing technical leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced staff to deliver applications in accordance to defined requirements. Agile Team Development Experience preferred.
