This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to contribute to a wide variety of strategic initiatives that directly impact firm decision making and management. This is a development role on the IT team supporting Finance, Tax, Partner Services and Human Resources. Current state applications include everything from packaged vendor solutions such as PeopleSoft, Clarity, and Bonaire to highly customized homegrown applications and rapid solutions. Both the Finance and Human Resources areas are looking to update and transform their platforms over the next three years. This is an exciting time for someone looking to be a key contributor to that effort.
As member of a strong, collaborative application development team, this individual will participate in all activities to successfully design, develop, and implement projects and enhancements to a variety of applications ranging from Revenue and Client Invoicing, to Employee Benefits and Compensation, to Budgeting and Project Costing.
•Work with business team, project managers, and systems analysts to review business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans
•Participate in architecture, design, development, and implementation of new software components and applications based on functional specifications.
•Work with other software engineers to design and implement application features, including user interfaces, and business functionality enhancements.
•Author technical design and support documentation.
•3+ years of demonstrated database development and architecture experience
•3+ years developing J2EE applications using JDBC and JMS
•Java Web-Framework experience eg. Struts, SPRING or similar
•Experience in relational database technologies with strong SQL skills
•Experience with, and demonstrated understanding of modern software development and testing methodologies
•Willing to work in an energetic, fast-paced, and team-oriented environment and handle multiple conflicting priorities
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to write technical documentation
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
