The responsibilities of the Sr. Business Analyst/Solutions Engineer are to look for and develop process improvement opportunities within MedAssets corporate or business operations, and customer engagements. These improvements can be achieved through design and implementation of new business processes or through technology improvements. In the event a technology solution is needed, this position will be responsible for developing the functional requirements and will partner with the technology organization to deploy the new or enhanced technology.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Support spreading Project Management/Business Solutions capability across the organization.
Drive enterprise-wide initiatives utilizing management consulting skills, helping to shape strategy and organizational change.
Look for and suggest process improvements and operational changes based on experience and understanding of industry best practices.
Coach, mentor, and train Business unit staff in tools, techniques for operationally-led projects.
Interact with all levels of management, including senior executives; preparing and delivering senior presentations; facilitating meetings and rapid change events.
Identifies, researches, analyzes and writes business requirements and functional designs when needed
When necessary, develop documentation and training materials
Complete other tasks as assigned.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to those identified within the Standards of Business Conduct and the Employee Handbook, as may be amended from time to time. Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and the company’s governance/compliance program.
Strategically plan and deploy technology for the goals and growth of the company.
Insure internal customers are delivered the highest quality IT products and services.
Willingness and ability to learn the organizations Business model thoroughly; must become a subject matter expert quickly as it pertains to key software components and systems.
Minimum Knowledge, Competencies, & Qualifications:
Undergraduate 4 year degree from a leading institution a must; advanced technical degree a plus.
Minimum of two years of management consulting experience desired but not a prerequisite. 5+ total years of experience necessary.
Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Strong analytical skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Self motivated and dedicated to teamwork.
A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
Attention to detail.
Must be able to communicate verbally and respond to instructions given verbally.
Desired Knowledge, Competencies, Qualifications
Background in Customer Relationship Management processes and technologies
Experience with Salesforce.com and related CRM applications
Exposure to larger enterprise wide organizations and related projects.
Exposure to large consulting firms or large organizations supporting enteprise wide related IT Projects.
Travel up to 25% required.
