The position requires at least an Associate's degree or two-year College equivalent (at least 60 undergraduate semester hours) and at least two years of prior-related work experience. The position requires at least a High School diploma or GED equivalent if substituting experience for education.
Substitution of Experience for Education Permitted (Non-faculty only)
The position provides advanced secretarial, administrative and clerical support to Academic Affairs to ensure effective and efficient daily office operations. In addition, may also assist department with the operation of computerized applications (to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Prefer applicants with: (1) experience in a higher education institution working with faculty and students, (2) experience with purchasing, payroll and support for educational programs, and (3) intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word and Excel).
Supplemental Job Information
The position involves extensive data base management, along with organizational and time management. Applicants must be available to work two evenings weekly and Saturdays.
