Basic Function: The Professional Registered Nurse provides individualized direct patient care in accordance with Hospital and Practice Site policies and procedures, established standards of nursing care and practice, as defined by the State of Georgia. The RN promotes restoration of health and achievement of patient health goals through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the delivery of patient care as defined by Ambulatory Care Nursing Philosophy. The RN provides care through the use of the nursing process and in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care. Participates in department Process Improvement activities, meets continuing education requirements, upholds the Ambulatory Care Services and hospital's philosophy and objectives. Demonstrates professional growth and development through the primary areas of responsibility which include assessment and patient care, administration of medications and parenteral (IV) fluids, patient education, support of and communication with medical staff, leadership, maintenance of environment and security, medical office/administrative policies, and continuing education.
Minimum Requirements: Current Georgia Registered Nursing license, 2 years nursing experience, preferably in medical-surgical setting.
Other Requirements: BCLS, Basic word processing/Computer skills Outstanding organizational and communication skills Must speak, read and write English
