This position will be involved in leading and supporting analytical projects in a variety of areas with a particular focus on key strategic initiatives, key performance metrics and customer/research data analytics. The right candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with exceptional quantitative skills who enjoys a combination of developing comprehensive strategies supported by analytics models and working with a variety of individuals and groups.
Work collaboratively with a variety of individuals and groups including Product, Merchandising, Marketing, and Technology to provide business savvy and analytic insights to optimize business decision making.
Become the company expert in and own the analysis of results and drivers related to ShoeDazzle’s core business and new growth initiatives:
Carry out analytical and quantitative “deep dives” focused on the customer experience, core financial metrics, and market data
Develop new and improved ways to track and report on related key metrics in order to inform key business decisions
Investigate and analyze biggest drivers of customer dis/satisfaction helping to clarify and prioritize areas of opportunity for the business
Assist with primary customer research execution and analysis
Proactively identify areas/decisions where additional analytic or strategic insight is needed, and leverage analysis to develop recommendations for the business
Assist with partnership negotiations and program execution
Help drive the annual strategic planning process
Work closely with other groups across the company as needed and desired on projects where skills and insights can add value to the business
Consult with and mentor other analysts and non-analysts within the organization on accessing and using data and performing analyses to best address business questions
Other duties which may be assigned from time to time.
In-depth expert knowledge in at least several of Excel, SPSS, and Powerpoint (also value SQL, SAS and Cognos)
Ability to make sense of large amounts of disparate data and to tell a cohesive story focused on key strategic decision-making for C-level executives
Experience with and understanding of the application of basic statistical methods such as regression, significance testing, and other methods to address key business issues
Be extremely analytical and quantitative and very comfortable building models
Have a high degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity
Be comfortable using most appropriate combination of rigorous analytical and qualitative approaches
4-year college degree required; MBA or other advanced degree a plus
2-4 years of relevant work experience; management consulting experience (Bain, BCG, McKinsey, etc) a plus
Very detail oriented, with strong organization skills and ability to maintain and keep track of multiple information sources
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, ability to find new ways to improve processes
A very quick learner
