Amdocs Inc. seeks to fill the position of Senior Subject Matter Expert in Richardson, Texas to provide production support to various Amdocs products, systems and datawarehouse projects. Handle production tickets as per Service Level Agreement with customer for following core modules of Amdocs: Amdocs Customer Management, Amdocs Replenishment Management, Amdocs Enabler/Ensemble. Monitor alerts to catch problem pro-actively. Co-ordinate and delegate work to DVCI (off Shore team). Support applications during non-business hours. Assist team members when they are on-call in non-business hours to address any critical issues. Available 24/7 for addressing serious production issues affecting applications. Mentor new team members. Represent Amdocs prepaid group with customer on day to day basis. Support conversion of subscribers to Amdocs Billing System. Represent Amdocs BOBI-OW T1-ADBA Production Support Team with the customer on day to day basis. Prevent potential crisis by resolving critical issues quickly to reduce business impact to the customer. Write and maintain scripts for fixing data issues in the production. Interact and co-ordinate with various 3rd party hardware and software vendors to get support for ongoing production activities related to Amdocs Billing. Knowledge Transfer to various other groups and modules like release management, Tier 2 to help with day to day activities. Prevent potential crisis by improving monitoring of the production system and root cause analysis. Performance improvement of the production system by giving code fixes and suggestions to improve the hardware. Ensure customer performance RA requirements are always met by the real time OBIE, DOM , Helios, downstream systems in BOBI. Find ways to automate, smooth line and straighten ongoing Amdocs billing prepaid and post paid production activities. Analyze, design, develop and support various change requests from client. Analyze, design and develop various fast track client requirements. Create lA (Impact Assessment) based on Amdocs format and conduct reviews with client for various fast track and change request requirements. Plan and support software upgrades during major and minor version release of highly available real time prepaid/postpaid system, DW systems. Involve in IA (Impact Assessment) reviews and solution design meeting as part of solution architecture team for upcoming releases. Support BOBI —DOM, Helios testing, User Acceptance Testing and Performance Testing. Interact and co-ordinate with Amdocs product development team to provide feedbacks for future version road maps. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus three years of experience in the position offered or three years of experience as a Database Administrator, Systems Engineer or closely related occupation. Demonstrated experience with database backup and recovery procedures, application infrastructure experience, Goldengate, performance tuning, implementation, and production support (including production migration, management and maintenance of production databases, backup and recovery for production databases, and configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring and tuning production databases), Oracle, SQL*PLUS, SQL*Ioader, TKPROF, STATSPACK, SQL Trace, OEM, PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting.
