Skills & Requirements
You'll join a friendly, supportive IT and systems team located in Boston and Sebastopol, CA, and do meaningful work in architecting scalable and reliable infrastructures. The systems group supports clusters on cloud, virtualized, and physical IT environments, for both Python and Java-based architectures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage and maintain Linux & SAN environments that include Corporate, Data Warehouse, Test, and Production systems.
Manage and maintain monitoring to ensure uptime and SLA levels.
Identify, drive and implement process and technology improvements. Effectively manage projects as necessary.
Support Safari applications, users, and customers.

Network architecture including load balancers, switches, and routers.
Enterprise storage, SAN-based storage, and disk subsystems
Production monitoring via Nagios, Munin, et al
Git and subversion
DNS, SSL, SSH, XML, JDBC, SNMP, IPSEC and other protocols
Python, Perl or Bash scripting.
Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS)
Networking (Firewalls, VPN, pfSense)
MySQL, Postgres, Pentaho, NoSQL variants, Hadoop!
Infrastructure automation (Chef/Puppet)
