Job Summary: Provides information and helps resolve user problems regarding department systems. Acts as a liaison between the business and IT personnel to support the unit’s technology needs; represent user area in all system enhancements and design activities. Reviews user requests, conducts data gathering interviews, documents business specifications, and manages technology projects until completion.
Oversees very large/critical technology projects, typically spanning the entire organization or include various and distinct LOB’s.
Serves as a liaison between the business and the IT area, translating varied business needs into application software requirements.
Oversees projects that include various phases and large project teams.
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
Leads project meetings.
Provides updates to senior leadership regarding project status and the application and implementation of technology.
Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex and varied business needs and analyses and designs solutions to complex and varied business needs.
Designs, implements, and monitors the progress of initiatives, milestones, and budgets to ensure timeliness and deliverables are met.
Manages critical relationships with IT, consultants and vendors, internal end users, and business customers/leadership.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Leads and motivates project team members that are not direct reports that may span the entire organization.
7 to 10+ years of related work experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Heavy background in Project Management.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong knowledge of New Business functions, systems interaction, workflows, and IT partners, resources, requirements.
Thorough understanding of system design, methodologies and testing tools.
Manages critical relationships with IT, internal end users, and business customers.
Strong attention to detail to follow business processes correctly, anticipating and understanding the downstream impact and ensuring high quality the first time/every time.
Easily adaptable to changes in business processes, work priorities and work environment.
Customer centric and ability to adjust to the needs of the customer.
Ability to work independently, with very minimal supervision.
Takes accountability and ownership to resolve problems and find the answer and demonstrates creativity in identifying reasonable solutions that benefit all parties.
Efficiency and ability to quickly gather the right information analyze it and make decisions.
Demonstrates professionalism by consistently acting with respect and courtesy to co-workers and customers, maintains personal credibility, and exhibits excellent teamwork.
Acts with appropriate sense of urgency.
Comprehensive Technical Skills including how internal systems interact and are maintained.
Strong background with MS Project, Access, Excel and SQL.
