Nokia is looking for an experienced

Software in test Manager/ QA lead

to lead a team of talented automation and release engineers to ensure the quality and timeliness of our exciting new Social Location Internet services. The ideal candidate will be a key element of our team that builds an innovative service platform for Nokia and non-Nokia applications.

Day to Day Role:
Lead and assist QA engineers to design and develop tests and test automation for various aspects of the platform.

Lead release and development operations activities; including managing releases.

Review requirements, specifications, user documentation and other project documentation to assure quality of the products and tests to be developed.

Prepare and document test cases to provide full coverage of expected usage of the products.

Setup and configure automated testing frameworks.

Define, program, and execute automated tests, analyze and report results.

Work with the development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other development test objects.

Work with the development team to create and maintain automated build verification tests.

Research and document defect reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem. Use defect-tracking systems to record defects, follow up on their resolution, and collect and report metrics.

Interact with other Nokia teams to capture testing requirements for the deployment of our products and follow up to ensure these requirements are satisfied.

Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.

Seek, evaluate, and advocate for use of new solutions to improve the quality and/or efficiency of the team’s activities.

Bachelor Degree or equivalent QA management experience (Computer Science preferred)

5+ years of relevant professional experience in test automation

2+ years of experience in supervising, leading or managing a team of test engineers

5+ years of experience in a software development organization including web application development (Agile methodology preferred)

Programming expertise in Java and one or more of the following: Python, shell, or Perl

Experience using and getting reports from bug tracking tools e.g. Jira, Bugzilla, other

Experience with Continuous Integration frameworks including test automation, e.g. Hudson/Jenkins, Cruise Control, other

Previous success and current ability to create, report, document, track and translate relevant QA information to all stakeholders

Passion for problem solving

Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (nice to haves):
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Previous success in building QA or SW Operations dashboards
  • Previous experience with JUnit Framework
  • Previous experience correlating QA data to build and report metrics, trends, and other Software Quality Assurance data to management
  • Ability to drive the implementation of test automation
