Hanover Research is actively recruiting for an experienced sales professional to serve as Senior Vice President, Sales for our rapidly growing company's Enterprise-facing department. This individual will report to the C-suite. This individual should be equipped to provide creative, energetic, and authoritative leadership of all of Hanover Research's sales initiatives in the Enterprise space. Using his/her expertise, this person is responsible for developing and managing consistent and compelling sales initiatives that accurately portray the work and mission of Hanover Research as a whole. The candidate must provide the vision to enable breakthrough results, and must have the people-management skills needed to foster ongoing success within the progressive sales environment at Hanover Research.
Location: Washington, DC
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Build business plans and direct the sales team on product and service information, all with the intent of exceeding sales targets;
Work closely with the company's core management team to ensure all sales initiatives are aligned with the mid- to long-term strategic goals of the firm;
Further the development of a high-achieving sales culture through the deployment of processes, tools, and motivational activities that support aggressive sales activities rooted in solid, repeatable practices;
Lead by example through participation in all facets of sales process-- assisting with complex negotiations, attending presentations, and helping to close deals;
Set the strategic direction of the sales department by maintaining a thorough working knowledge of the market, industry trends, and competitors;
Analyze wins and losses, develop strategies that circumvent traps in sales cycles, and work collaboratively with product management on product enhancements;
Monitor sales performance by defining and managing the monthly and annual sales objectives for all teams;
Execute special projects and travel as needed.

Minimum Education Required:
A Bachelors' degree in Business, Finance, Sales, or related fields.
MBA would be highly advantageous.
8-12 years of full-time work experience in a sales role, preferably in a managerial capacity.
