leading the External Marketing team that assists internal business
partners in translating their business needs in to strategic, integrated
internal and external marketing communication solutions. The team works
closely with the Marketing Delivery team to ensure that overall
messaging is consistent with business partners goals/objectives and is
aligned with LPL’s strategic plans.
strategic guidance to senior business leaders in the development of
their business and marketing strategies and develops marketing
communication programs that maximize business partners opportunities.
Meets regularly with business leaders to understand their business
priorities and challenges and counsels leaders on how to build effective
marketing and communication plans. Establishes service level agreements
with business partners and regularly checks-in to ensure expectations
are being met.
the strategic direction for the External Marketing team in alignment
with the needs of the business partners including development of annual
strategic communication plans and project timelines, allocating
resources across projects, reviewing and approving project proposals and
developing and managing project budgets. Provides leadership to the
team through hiring, coaching and development of staff.
the development of communication activities including an efficient
traffic management system and special projects/initiatives in
partnership with other Marketing teams. Reviews communications to ensure
that overriding positioning and strategy of business partners is
executed within the communication standards/guidelines. Identifies areas
for improving communication strategies and coordinating the
introduction of new initiatives to improve and coordinate internal
coordination with the Chief Marketing Officer, develops an annual
marketing and communication strategy that aligns with the business
priorities of LPL and business partners.
- Bachelors Degree with a focus in Marketing, communications or related field)
- 15 years of experience with a focus in Marketing within the financial services industry
- Experience in developing a marketing model for financial advisors is preferred
communication skills both written and oral with ability to present
materials to the highest levels in the organization and serves as the
recognized subject matter expert
- Demonstrated ability to interact and influence senior leaders
- Can create a communication strategy/plan that articulates that incorporates a business’s vision
analytical skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate business
opportunities and evaluate results against established objectives
- Actively anticipates, identifies and manages risks within position scope and at the company
