Dewberry is seeking a Senior Watershed Management Professional within the mid-atlantic region. This position will support a growing natural resources consulting practice in the areas of estuary and coastal watershed assessment and planning, assessment, ecological restoration design and planning, surface water assessment and restoration, stormwater quality and management to assist federal, state and local clients in completing watershed management projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts watershed and stormwater assessment, management, planning and design
  • Performs habitat, ecosystem, and wetland assessments
  • Performs ecological restoration planning and design
  • Contributes technically on regulatory compliance activities
  • Builds and supports client relations
  • Pursues and supports business development and marketing efforts
  • Manages and technically supports water resources projects
  • Acts as a technical mentor
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, water resources or related field is required. Post-graduate degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years watershed project experience
  • A minimum of 5 years most recent experience managing watershed projects in the Gulf region
  • Hands-on experience with environmental assessment processes and ArcGIS modeling tools
  • Experience with project management processes and tools
  • Preferred CEP or PE in the Gulf Coast region or ability to obtain via reciprocity
  • Extensive public experience in the following:
    • Watershed, point and NPS Assessment
    • NPDES/MS4/TMDL
    • Biology, ecology, invasive species
    • Integrated WR/Stormwater monitoring and watershed master planning
    • Surface water quality
    • BMP, restoration, GSI, LID design
    • Monitoring and maintenance
    • Stormwater and environmental regulations and permitting
    • Adaptive management and outreach
    • Stormwater management
