The Web Editor and Copywriter is a dynamic position responsible for developing and executing a content strategy across all of Frontier’s web properties. This will require developing content for consumer, small business and enterprise customers, and working in collaboration with both in-house (marketing, product) and agency partners. Top candidates will have professional experience writing for a variety of audiences, and recent experience writing for SEO. We are looking for someone that will contribute their energy and enthusiasm to our Online team, that likes working as part of a team, and that brings a distinct voice to our content

The role will focus most heavily on Frontier.com and Frontierhelp.com, but also will provide input in to pilot / trial programs and to the social media team. Our online team is in the middle of reinventing itself, and we are looking for someone that is excited to be part of that transformation and that can help us set a compelling content strategy. The Web Editor will be the only such position on staff, but will be supported by the Design and Production teams

Key Responsibilities
  • Work in partnership with marketing and senior leadership to develop a content strategy for all of Frontier’s digital media: Websites, Blogs and Social Media
  • Develop and maintain/refine brand standards as they apply to digital content
  • Create content, including copy writing and any research or analysis required. Create and maintain a distinctive and compelling voice across Frontier properties
  • Partner with Design and User Experience (UX) teams to continuously improve information architecture
  • Incorporate SEO strategies to boost organic search results and referral traffic
  • Provide support to online marketing efforts by writing compelling content for landing pages. Work with internal & external partners to improve the Frontier brand via our digital media

Experience and Skill Requirements
  • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree or MFA along with 5+ years’ relevant experience
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills and understanding of the specific requirements of writing for the web
  • Ability to simplify complex technical and legal details to be suitable for consumers
  • Professional digital copywriting / editorial background, Experience in information architecture (IA), UX and web production highly valued
  • Experience working with online content management systems; Working knowledge of HTML and CSS strongly preferred
  • Analytical mindset, with experience making data-driven recommendations to inform marketing and communication strategies.
  • Able to balance multiple responsibilities, problem solve, and think with an “80/20” mindset
  • Strong organizational / project management skills, and demonstrated ability to reliably meet deadlines
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
