The primary responsibility of this role will be to maintain the health and availability of our systems. There will also be opportunities for project work as we continue to improve our systems and stay current with the latest technologies. The person in this role will be required to work closely with other team members and IT teams both local and overseas. The ability and desire to own a task or project and see it from conception to completion is crucial.

Core Responsibilities

Administer Windows 2008/R2 Active Directory and related services (DNS/DHCP/NPS/Certs)

Administer messaging environment consisting of Exchange 2007 and Lync 2010

Administer other Microsoft Windows based systems including SharePoint 2010, SCOM, WSUS, WDS, MS SQL 2005/2008/R2, file/print services, anti-virus, terminal services/remote desktop

Assist with routine maintenance and security patching of Windows servers

Resolve issues escalated from Service Desk or other IT teams.

Create and maintain documentation about corporate infrastructure systems, policies and procedures.

Skills and experience required for this position

Must have in-depth, hands-on knowledge of all aspects of Active Directory 2008/R2, in a globally distributed, multi-domain (or multi-forest) environment. Must have experience with AD-integrated services including DNS, DHCP, NPS, and Certificate Services.

Advanced knowledge of Exchange 2007 or higher, including clustering and HA technologies, disaster recovery, and mobile access such as ActiveSync and Outlook Anywhere. Experience with Exchange 2010/2013 desired.

Experience supporting a medium to large enterprise consisting of at least 500 AD users and mailboxes. An understanding of capacity planning and “building to scale” when architecting and deploying systems.

Expert level troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Proven ability to utilize scripting or tools for automation of tasks.

Additional experience and skills we are seeking

Experience supporting OCS 2007/R2 or Lync 2010. Enterprise Voice or video integration knowledge desired.

Experience with enterprise level anti-virus platforms – specifically McAfee EPO 4.x

Experience with virtualization technologies, specifically VMware vSphere and Hyper-V.

Experience with enterprise video conferencing equipment – i.e. Polycom, Cisco, Tandberg, Lifesize.

Experience with Active Directory monitoring /auditing tools and best practices.

Past experience working within a global team requiring collaboration across multiple time zones.
