RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies system engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the development, planning, testing, and evaluation of aircraft systems. Demonstrated experience in aircraft, propulsion, avionics, electronic warfare, training, mission planning, or weapon systems and software, interoperability, development technologies, test and evaluation, and equipment specifications is required. Demonstrated experience in two (2) of the following areas is required: manufacturing engineering, predictability, material characterization, structural analysis, reliability engineering, systems engineering, software development, software life cycle support, avionics development, mission system integration, vertical flight aerodynamics, tilt-rotor mechanical statics and dynamics, turbo shaft engine thermodynamics, configuration management, specification development, environmental impact analysis, weapon system performance, data protection planning, or flight instrumentation.
EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, operations research, physics, computer science, mathematics or a related technical field from an accredited college or university.
ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATION/TRAINING: An additional postgraduate degree in a business, management, engineering or related discipline will be considered equivalent to four (4) years of general experience.
CLEARANCE: Able to acquire DoD Secret Clearance. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Accurately identify and track all PMA/Platform Developed components.
Review and analyze product development schedules and availability dates, in an effort to provide a. Basis of understanding of schedule and costs related issues
b. Impact/effect of changes upon current/future builds
c. Develop IGS Change Requests
d. Create awareness of future product capabilities and projected availability.
Serve as the primary conduit for all Component status-ing activities.
Support Leads and Leadership data call requests in a timely manner.
Develop and provide a Component “Real-Time” product status matrix type document, site, and/or etc.; for Leads and Leadership access.
Conduct dedicated and specific Component developer technical exchange forums and/or mediums.
Perform the analysis of technical and schedule impacts on integration and possible mitigation efforts.
Be the recognized technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) on developed components.
Support program management activities as the technical SME.
Network and establish relationship with development communities.
Integrated Government Schedule (IGS) Facilitator: Coordinate, document, and execute all administrative aspects of the IGS change control process to include, but not limited to:
a) Serve as the primary POC for the IGS Change Request (CR) “Originator” community
b) Develop, provide, execute, and maintain procedural guidance regarding the IGS CR process through the Initiation, Processing, and Disposition and Tracking phases.
c) Prepare and Assemble CR Packages
d) Develops and accurately maintain CR Tracking Loge. Supports and executes IGS CCB meeting activities.
