To serve meals to our residents in the Frederick Dining Room, Schlemmer Bistro, and Arcadia Dining Room in a pleasant and efficient manner, and assist in the dining experience as needed. This position is responsible for maintaining the quality of customer service guidelines as set forth by Bishop Gadsden.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Prepare and serve beverages as requested by resident
Determine meal request of resident and communicate to kitchen staff
Assure meal is as requested and served to resident
Deliver all ancillary meal requirements (condiments, etc) as needed
Comply with special diets and any special dietary requirements as needed
Assist with items of special request
Remove soiled dishes as meal progresses
Clear and reset table according to standards after completion of each meal
Clean work area and equipment used in food service
Maintain dining area according to guidelines
Perform all duties assigned in an effective, timely, and professional manner
Adhere to all Residents Rights
Follow fire safety and general safety guidelines
Assume accountability for all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook and department guidelines
Attend annual continuing education and department training as required
Accept other duties as assigned in a cooperative manner
Perform hostess duties as assigned by supervisor
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read, write, speak, understand, comprehend, and communicate
Pleasant appearance and attitude for daily interaction with residents, families, co-workers, and public
High school education or equivalent preferred
Ability to navigate computer based Digital Dining order entry system
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS

Manual dexterity needed, particularly with hands and arms
Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move at a fast pace
Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and lift (up to 30 lbs +/-)
Ability to multi task and deal with multiple customers at the same time
Ability to work in a professional manner and interact with co-workers, supervisors, and residents as needed
