Service Design SME (Job Number: 323696)
The Service Design SME shall have at least 15 years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) IT programs, preferably National Security Systems (NSS). The Service Design SME shall have ITSM credentials equivalent to ITIL’s “Intermediate” qualification.
The Service Design SME must have excellent internet protocol (IP) networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols. The Service Design SME must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols, and in-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms. The Service Design SME must have excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills. The Service Design SME must have in-depth knowledge of and experience with Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, and Linux. Strong UNIX skills and the ability to script in Perl, and shell are desirable. The Service Design SME must show experience in service level management; availability management; capacity management; IT service continuity management; service catalog management; and, supplier management.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, IT management. and 15+ years experience of relevant expereince in supporting DOD IT programs .
The Service Design SME must have an undergraduate degree; a master’s is preferred. The undergraduate degree must be in engineering, computer science, IT management, or the Service Design SME must possess clear, equivalent experience or a combination of experience and certifications. The master’s degree should be in the same fields. The Service Design SME must also be certified as a PMP or as Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III in Program Management. The Service Design SME must also have certifications as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and in Juniper Networks Certification Program (JNCP).
Active DoD Secret is required. Ability to obtain a TS/SCI is required.
