We are looking for a Service Desk Specialist to support all users with IT related issues by handing incoming calls, determining appropriate action and communicating with the IT team and end users.

We are looking for a Service Desk Specialist to support all users with IT related issues by handing incoming calls, determining appropriate action and communicating with the IT team and end users.

Duties and Responsibilities included but are not limited to:
  • Handle incoming technical support tickets, calls and emails from Agents and staff, troubleshoot the issue to determine appropriate course of action, escalate issue to level II and level III support if warranted.
  • Assign tickets to the team as they are escalated. Tickets will be assigned based on priority and availability of team members.
  • Coordinate with each individual team member’s ticket queues to ensure that assigned tickets are handled in a timely manner, properly documented, and resolution communicated to end users.
  • Provide level I support on Local Area Network and Wide Area Network connectivity issues.
  • Support various applications; such as, Microsoft Suite products, NRT and Corcoran’s proprietary systems, intranet sites, operating systems, etc.
  • Central point of contact for all technology portals.
  • Cross train with other members of the IT department.
  • Communicate technical knowledge and expertise with the service desk team.
  • Develop proactive solutions and document instructions and procedures to reduce routine calls to the service desk.
  • Participate in special projects for improving the effectiveness and goodwill of the IT department.
  • Back up to the Technical Support Specialists as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • I.T. related Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or technical institute required; may consider candidates without a degree given applicable work experience
  • 2+ years of Help Desk/Support experience is required
  • Knowledge of Windows & MS Office XP is required. Mobile device expertise required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills plus strong troubleshooting skills are essential
  • Must possess an ability to be collaborative with, and communicate clearly and effectively, with all types and levels of employees
  • Must maintain positive attitude when dealing with end users
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Availability for after hours support as needed
  • Ability to travel to and work at multiple Manhattan and/or Brooklyn offices as needed
  • Must be physically able to bend, stoop, climb, walk, and lift & carry heavy objects (up to 40 lbs)
