Kendall Subaru of Missoula has an opening for a qualified Service Manager. Candidates must value exceptional customer service, have experience in service operations and have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record. DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Plan, organize, and control service department operations to meet dealership goals and manufacturer requirements.
Supervise department employees including: training, motivating, counseling, and documenting employee performance to ensure company policy and procedure compliance.
Review and control operational expenses.
Assist customers and resolve customer concerns.
Ensure proper warranty procedures, billings and collections.
Develop, supervise and review marketing efforts for department.
Occasional travel to out-of-town events, including overnight travel.
Other tasks as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors work is exposed to ambient heat and cold, and to sun, rain and other weather conditions. Some of indoors work is in a shop environment, with exposure to fumes, dust and elevated sound levels.
May spend more than 1/2 of work shift working with PCs and video display screens. Uses telephone frequently.
Standing/walking for short distances: Up to 3/4 of work shift on both hard and soft surfaces.
Sitting: Up to 1/4 of work shift.
Carrying: occasionally, up to 20 pounds for up to 200 feet.
Lifting: occasionally, up 20 pounds.
Hearing and speech capability adequate to converse with staff, clients, and vendors both in person and by telephone.
Sight adequate to locate and identify staff, clients, vehicles and for safety in shop environment, and to use proprietary auto dealership computer applications.
