Become part of Sartorius' growing success Due to the continued success and growth of our business, Sartorius is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity as a Sales Specialist for Instrument Services. We are seeking a team member that is motivated, ambitious, and excited to partake in the growth of our company. The ideal candidate will effectively and efficiently sell our BPS Instrument Service offerings for calibration, maintenance, instalation, IQ/OQ, SAT, Training and custom spare parts packages, and will support the field sales team on service sales activities and quoting. They should be able to mine Base CRM and develop opportunities for installation and maintenance, prepare and quote contacts and spare parts packages, and work with sales reps to follow up on leads and meet with key end users to cultivate service opportunities. This candidate will be on track with the BPS sales managers and be managed functionally as part of the sales team. Diciplinary reporting will be to the Instrument Service Management team.
What you can look forward to accomplishing
•Meet or exceed their annual sales target for their specific area of specialty by performing the following sales actions:
oSupport the Sales Representative in complex sales processes by providing onsite customer facing techncial sales support
oHarvesting customers independent of the sales representatives and closing deals on their own
oWorking with the Field Marketing Manager to support the critical spares program both at the time of sale and to the current installed base.
•Provide field training to sales representatives and customers to improve our basic field knowledge and present Sartorius as an expert in such fields, examples include:
oIndividual training with sales representatives in their geography
•Provide consistent feedback to local marketing, including the following:
oCompetitive landscape, including products and pricing
oDevelop targeted sales campaigns in conjunction with in-house marketing
oWork closely with the Service Field Marketing to ensure current and future service portfolio is meeting the local market needs
•To mine Base CRM and develop opportunities for installation and maintenance, prepare and quote contacts and spare parts packages and work with sales reps to follow up on leads and meet with key end users to cultivate service opportunities.
•Input potential contracts and key spare part propsals into the Base CRM system to track progress/stage and create a sales pipeline for proactive service offerings.
•Sales Specialists are not Product Managers, Marketing Managers or Technical Support. Their primary objective is to use their techncial and application expertise to grow sales in their targeted market. Sales specialists are required to work closely with the marketing group to ensure that what marketing develops can be effectively used in the field to win sales.
Skills and experience that you need to bring to our company
•Must have A.A.S in electronics technology or business administration; BA w/concentration in business management and administration preferred.
•Knowledge of ISO requirements
•Strong written and oral communication skills along with the ability to deal effectively with customers and colleagues in a professional manner.
•Ability to work independently, proficiency in time management and organizational skills.
•Demonstrate a high degree of accuracy in record keeping and documentation control.
•Knowledge of inventory and vendor management processes.
•Proficiency with personal computers using Windows operating systems and Microsoft office applications. Familiarity with SAP inventory management and service module.
•Sales Specialists will be expected to travel both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the year. Their primary focus is visiting end-users and helping close sales by using their scientific expertise.
