FutureNet Security Solutions, located in Franklin, Tennessee, is a turnkey provider and leader in access control, outdoor perimeter security integration and physical security solutions. Our company has an immediate need in our Service Department for a Service Specialist.

The Service Specialist works closely with the company's Service department and clients. This position is dedicated solely to the service and preventive maintenance of our clients' physical security systems. This position reports directly to the Service Manager.

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on a variety of active vehicle barrier systems and integrated electronic security systems
• Complete troubleshooting, minor and major mechanical repairs, control system corrections, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, component replacement, evaluating system damage from vehicle impact, and other routine and complex tasks on a range of perimeter security systems
• Estimate labor and material costs required to complete repairs
• Analyze hydraulic schematics and circuit drawings, mechanical and electrical drawings to facilitate the repair and upgrade of existing systems
• Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend and take corrective action
• Assist FNSS Engineering Teams with the design of new, retrofit, or replacement active vehicle barrier control systems, including electromechanical and hydraulic systems
• Document all work with appropriate service forms, repair tickets, or warranty records
• Assist the Service Manager with the development of preventive maintenance procedures, troubleshooting procedures, and other resources related to product operation and maintenance
• Prepare and deliver training for other FNSS service specialists on hydraulic and electromechanical active vehicle barrier systems
• Provide guidance and training to clients in establishing operation, maintenance, and inspection procedures and techniques

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain company and client confidentiality
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree, preferred
• 3-5 years related experience or training required
• Advanced knowledge of electronics, hydraulics, mechanical devices, motors, wiring diagrams, schematics, and computers required
• Ability to work extensive hours during travel periods
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen in addition to a thorough background check
• Must be a U.S. citizen, due to national security clearance requirements
• Commercial construction or perimeter security system installation experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to work outdoors in hot or cold climates
• Must be able to stand on ladders or scaffolding
• Must be able to work in a crouching or kneeling position
• Must be able to work in tight quarters
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds comfortably
