This position is located at our Black Canyon Branch, Phoenix 85015.
Primary responsibility of the Service Specialist is to provide accurate, professional, and prompt member service. Mentors, trains and directs Teller staff. Identifies the members’ needs and offers products and services to members.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES & TASKS:
1.Provides accurate, professional service to Credit Union members and associates. Maintains a professional work environment and appearance.
2.Protects the Credit Union’s financial interests by controlling and balancing assigned cash drawer and negotiable items received/disbursed. Maintains acceptable balancing record per established standards.
3.Supports credit union member service objectives and sales promotions by cross-selling or referring services and products to members. Meets established sales goals and service standards.
4.Works to successfully achieve overall branch goals, through individual contribution, while promoting teamwork.
5.Global knowledge of branch process with the ability to perform Teller and Financial Specialist tasks.
6.Effectively mentors and trains teller staff in operational processes.
7.Resolves member escalation and ensures member satisfaction through proactive problem resolution.
8.Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
A High school diploma or equivalent is required. Requires a minimum of three years banking or credit union experience.
Skills & Abilities
Must display professionalism and possess excellent (verbal and written) business communication skills.
Must comply with all policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA). Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Saturday as needed.
This job requires they stand or sit for the majority of time and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
