Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction

Uses a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.

Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and repairs systems and products at customer's location.

Performs preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as need or requested by customers on, but not limited to, the following types of equipment/systems; applied mechanical/equipment systems (cat 1), mechanical room controls including actuators, sequencers, switches in electric, pneumatic, and DDC systems. Other equipment/systems to include vane axial fans, gas/electric boilers, VFDs, flue gas and vibration analyses, water and air balancing as well as all previously listed systems and equipment.

Performs site surveys as directed by the Supervisor to support the service sale effort

Provides equipment life projections to assist clients in preparing capital expense budgets and supporting equipment replacement sales.

Quote SPOT service, as required.

Serve as "mentor" to lower level Technicians. Aid in conflict resolution and perpetuate the principles and values of Management and demonstrate Leadership.

Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary

Inspects vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies. Maintains vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and complete repairs and maintenance service and maintains equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

Perform factory startup, commissioning and warranty work.

Provides re-training and follow-up training at customer site.

Provides sales leads to Service Sales Rep and/or manager.

Determines parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need

Documents work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files. Turns in all required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.

Records parts, material, labor, subs and other cost data per assignment and returns unused resources.

Read and interpret product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings and designs

Drives a company vehicle to jobs sites. Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.

Secures additional work through proactive recommendations based on equipment status and clients' needs.

Associate's Degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and five (5) years related experience with increasing responsibility; or seven (7) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.
