This position services, installs, tests, repairs, inspects, and certifies security/fire system equipment at home, custom and commercial locations
Main Responsibilities
- Examine security systems to locate problems. Test all security features in order to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions
- Repair security systems, alarm devices or related equipment
- Test operations of all components to the signal receiving center or to central station to properly establish service
Required Skills and/or Knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills and good work history
- Ability to work independently; good listening, verbal and written skills
- Excellent security industry technical skills that include the ability to deal with a variety of products and system types
- Hands on experience that includes a working knowledge of residential and commercial security, fire, access control, CCTV and networking systems
- Knowledge of electronic equipment
- Computer and Network literacy – control panel programming skills
- Familiarity with national and local Ohio / Columbus building codes
