Facilitate coordination of maintenance repairs and support the daily operations of the Service Department.
Open work orders and segments via DBS system. Manage Field Service and Shop work orders. Review work orders and verify completion of service reports prior to handing off to the dispatcher for approval. Work with the shop supervisor, field supervisor, field dispatcher, and gas engine dispatcher to close revenue work orders, monitor and report on the work in process for all areas of the Gillette Service Department. Interact with customers to obtain purchase orders and provided information.
Answer telephone calls. Distribute mail. File and maintain records. Assist with time card entry. Create memos, letters, and spreadsheets as needed. May be involved in special projects such as Capital Budget layout or operating statement coding.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Above average reading/comprehension skills and strong problem solving skills. Good typing skills for estimates, letters, and test sheets. Verbal skills to answer telephones and take messages when required.
EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
Prior responsibilities in an office environment.
MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED
Must be able to operate a PC, dealer AS400 computer system, all related software, e-mail, calculator, telephone, fax machine, copy machine, and printer.
